Happy TYIN’ the knot Thursday, y’all!!!!!
Oh my gosh, what gorgeous weather we’ve been having this week!! I guess fall is in the air…which I’m not really ready for, but I guess it has to happen. Whatever. I’m more of a summer girl, but I can still appreciate some cooler weather with a cold beer on a patio…
Anyhoooo. A perfect way to cap off my summer was this GORGEOUS Idlewild Church wedding with the reception at the Chickasaw Country Club.
For all my brides to be, I really really enjoyed shooting at Chickasaw. It’s definitely a venue I would consider if you’re member (not sure their policy on non-members). We didn’t get a chance to shoot any on the golf course, but it was a great spot for a reception for sure!
Meet Evan and Alexis! I loved working with these two!! Talk about a laid back couple! Their families were amazing, and the day was just perfect!
These two have been dating for pretty much forever. And when couples have been together forever, you have a different crowd at the wedding. Instead of a big “joining” ceremony, it’s almost more like a huge family reunion where everyone knows everyone. And that’s a pretty cool party, ya know! Evan and Alexis…of course they were adorable! Their wedding party was really tight. The band was on point! And the décor was amazing! What else can I really say about it!
As for logistics, we started at the swankiest Airbnb, y’all! Ladies, if you don’t want to get ready at a hotel room, consider renting an awesome house…you don’t have to clean it up, and you’re entire wedding party can stay together. I thought that was a really cool idea on their part!
After the getting ready portion, we headed to Idlewild…which is an AMAZINGLY GORGEOUS church in Midtown. But…BUT, ladies, keep in mind that photographers are NOT allowed to take photos during the ceremony. So if you’re cool with that, then that church was really, really, really pretty. The getting ready room…omg! If you’re not cool with that, then go ahead and consider a different church venue. After the ceremony, the reception was at Chickasaw, complete with a MS State Gibson’s donut wall for the groom’s “cake,” candied bacon (which is pretty much like heaven on earth), and Nashville Hot chicken sliders. Um. Yummmmmmmmm.
But, enough talk. Here was Evan and Alexis’ day…as I saw it. 🙂
Y’all!!! They did FOURTH MEAL from Taco BELL!!!!!
Arrington, this photo is for you!
I want to send out a special thanks to my second shooter, Emily! Thank you for allllllll of your hard work and your amazing reception shots! <3
